Is it possible to make them all compatible very quickly? I've tried Ctrl + A, select all, all that... and no luck. Please tell me there's a way before I try and configure over 70 cars manually - thanks! ^_^

Alright, I apologize for the horridly worded question. I have bronchidal pneumonia, and my brain's having trouble putting two and two together, much less ask question, so!
I have used SLRR Editor 2.0, tried all possible ways to select each and every car to edit all engines to be compatible at once. Ideas that didn't work: Ctrl + A for select all Ctrl + Left Click Didn't work \Separate Question\ I know this sounds horrid, it's hard to explain. But when I was doing I encountered a problem, so I need to go back to a default parts.rpk and re-do all this anyways... Unregistrable node: parts\engines\Mazda_Rotary_13B.rpk:00000001 (invalid parent cars\racers.rpk:00000004) Already know what I did, I put an engine into cars by mistake. And set it up using SLRR Editor... so, there's invalid entries all over the place. =p |

theres no automated way to do all cars at once, you have to do it one car at a time

Well ain't that a bummer, but I'm already a bit in the dumps. I need to get an original parts.rpk and fix my game before I even bother figuring a way to automate the process.

Can always leave the cars as they are, and just edit them as you buy them. I doubt you have all 70 of them modded and tuned up in your garage at the same time, or have 70 saved games with different cars in each.
That's the way I do it. Buy it, edit it (sometimes retexture/rescript even), mod it, drift it, crash it, repeat.

in the tutorial section theres a tutorial on how to add other engines to a car. once you do one the rest are easy to follow, and you also have to take into account that each car the engine position is different as well, so there will be alot of saving, botting slrr checking placement, clsoing slrr, re-editing and so on so forth. its a process that will take a day or more, i know when i did the v6/v8 einvagen it took me 4 days but i was being fussy too.
and to get the defualt parts.rpk just create a new install of slrr make sure its patched to the same vers and copy that one into it. ALSO.... MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP BEFORE YOU F**KUP. |
